Grün, Gelb oder doch farblos? Die Maschen der Stromanbieter
Welche Farbe hat Dein Strom ? Grün, gelb oder doch farblos ?
Eigentlich wissen wir es doch alle. Strom hat keine Farbe, man sieht ihn nicht, er ist geruchs- und geschmacklos. Seine Qualiäten liegen in der Konstanz von 230V~ und 50Hz, die möglichst genau dem Endverbraucher zur Verfügung gestellt werden soll. In Deutschland gibt es ein Verbundnetz und jeder bekommt den gleichen Strom. Dieser wird von den verschiedensten Kraftwerktypen erzeugt und dann gemäß Anforderung in das Verteilernetz eingespeist. Für den ordentlichen Zustand des Verteilernetzes ist der sog. Netzbetreiber verantwortlich, für die Abrechnung der entnommenen Energie ist der Stromanbieter verantwortlich.
Der Preis des Stromes
Zunächst sollte man wissen, dass sich der Strompreis aus verschiedenen Bestandteilen zusammen setzt:
- Erzeugerpreis
- Netzgebühren (Errichtung, Wartung, zumeist auch Zählerbetrieb u. Ablesung)
- Durchleitungsgebühren (kommunale Konzession)
- Umlage staatlicher Förderungen (wie KWK und EEG)
- Stromsteuer (ehemals Öko-Steuer)
- Umsatzsteuer
Auf die Preisanteile 1 bis 3 schlägt nun der Stromanbieter seine Kosten incl. Gewinnanteil drauf. Am Ende wird alles nochmals mit dem Punkt 4, der Umsatzsteuer, beaufschlagt.
Der Fairnes halber soll erwähnt werden, dass der Erzeugerpreis nur ungefähr 1/3 des Strompreises ausmacht.
Da die Stromanbieter unterschiedliche Kosten und Gewinnaufschläge haben, unterscheiden sich auch deren Preise.
Was passiert, wenn ich den Stromanbieter wechsle ?
Für den Endverbraucher, also Sie, ändert sich augenscheinlich nur die Abrechnungsstelle (neuer Anbieter) und Ihr Einkaufspreis. Der Wechsel zu einem anderen Anbieter wird Ihnen leicht gemacht. Sie stellen einen Antrag an den Stromanbieter Ihrer Wahl und mit der Annahme des Antrages durch den Anbieter gehen Sie ein Vertrgasverhältnis mit ihm ein. Die entsprechenden Bedingungen sind in den AGB geregelt. Den Papierkram (Kündigung des Altanbieters und Information des Netzbetreibers) übernimmt in der Regel der neue Anbieter für Sie.
Wo Öko drauf steht, ist noch lange nicht Öko drin. Das dem so ist, ist eigentlich verständlich, denn Öko-Stromerzeugung ist weitestgehendst noch nicht jeder Zeit nach Belieben verfügbar. Denken Sie nur mal an Photovoltaik-Strom oder Strom aus Winkdkraft. Damit garantiert werden kann, dass für jeden, der Ökostrom bezahlt hat auch Öko-Strom geliefert wird, wurde der RECS-Handel eingeführt. Dabei handelt es sich um Öko-Stromzertifikate, die die Hauptlastverteilung veranlassen, die bestellten Mengen an Öko-Strom immer dann einzuspeisen, wenn diese verfügbar sind. Der bezahlte Ökostrom wird also geliefert, nur nicht immer zu der Zeit, wo der Besteller den Strom abnimmt (Mengengleichheit). Allerdings gibt es auch Möglichkeiten der Manipulation mit Stromzertifikaten, die eine art Etikettenschwindel zulassen. Bei Interesse, bitte hier nachlesen. Schlussfolgerung: Wo Öko drauf steht, muss noch lange nicht Öko drin sein.
Mit welchen Marketinginstrumenten (oder auch Tricks) werden nun die potentiellen Kunden – also Sie – beworben ?
- Wechselbonus und/oder freie kWh
Bonus und freie kWh sind als Anreiz zum Wechsel gedacht und werden nur einmalig mit der ersten Jahresabrechnung gewährt. Leider ist es so, dass diese Anreize nur zu einem kleinen Prozentsatz (ca. 4%) tatsächlich gewährt werden. Viel zu oft werden diese Verträge noch vor Ablauf des 1. Vertragsjahres auf Grund von Preiserhöhungen, die den Vertrag gegenüber anderen Anbietern unrentabel machen, durch den Kunden gekündigt. Wer andererseits die Mindestkündigungsfrist zum Jahresende verpasst, erhält zwar die versprochenen Boni, ist dann aber für ein weiteres Jahr fest gebunden. Nur wer sich streng an die in den AGB verankerten Regeln hält, hat eine Chance zum Ende des ersten Vertragsjahres aus dem Vertrag zu gehen (aus welchem Grund auch immer) und dennoch die Boni mit zu nehmen. Allerdings kann es passieren, dass der Stromanbieter den Anspruch dennoch streitig stellt und dem Kunde lediglich der Klageweg bleibt. Erfahrungsgemäß klagen die Kunden nicht, so dass hier in jedem Fall der Anbieter der Gewinner ist.
. - Garantieversprechen
hier verweise ich auf meinen Artikel “Preisgarantie oder Festpreis …”
Nur soviel, mir ist eine Preisfestschreibung auf einen festen Termin lieber als eine Preiszusage über bspw. 6 Monate. Die Zusicherung auf einen festen Termin gilt für alle Kunden, egal, wann sie den Vertrag abgeschlossen haben. Alle bekommen also den gleichen Preis und das finde ich fair.
. - Strompakete
Alle Strompakete, die ich bisher gesehen habe, sind im Grunde Mogelpackungen. Warum ? Nun, unter einem Strompaket verstehe ich, dass ich für eine ganz bestimmte Strommenge in einem festgelgeten Zeitraum, einen festen Preis zahle. Ich kaufe also im Voraus. Wenn man mal davon absieht, dass man mit einer Vorauszahlung ein nicht zu unterschätzendes Risiko eingeht, denn die Vorauszahlung geht in das pfändbare Vermögen des Stromanbieters ein, ohne dass ich auch nur den gerignsten Einfluß auf die Verwendung meines Geldes habe. Das kann für alle schlimm ausgehen, wie jüngst bei TDF geschehen.
Was ich meine ist, dass durch den Kauf eines Strompaketes noch lange nicht sicher ist, dass ich nicht im Fall einer allgemeinen Strompreiserhöhung – aus welchem Grund auch immer – am Jahresende noch nachzahlen muss. Außerdem, wer mehr verbraucht als im Paket enthalten, zahlt einen am Ende den Mehrverbrauch zu einem deutlich höheren Preis. Wer dagegen das Paket nicht vollständig verbraucht, erhält in der Regel keine Rückvergütung.
Man sollte sich schon genau überlegen, ob man so ein Strompaket haben möchte, wenngleich der Preis recht reizvoll sein kann. Auf jedenfall sollte man den eigenen Bedarf ziehmlich genau kalkulieren und rechnen.
Fazit :
Wechseln lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, denn warum mehr bezahlen als notwendig. Über Vergleichsrechner ist es relativ unkompliziert einen Stromanbieter zu finden. Es lohnt jedoch, genau hin zu sehen, denn der Teufel steckt im Detail. Wer immer den möglichst niedrigsten Preis haben will, muss genau rechnen und auf vertragliche Regeln achten und diese peinlich genau einhalten. Auffällig bei den Verlgeichsrechnerangeboten ist, dass hier mit Neugkundenboni gelockt wird. Nach Ablauf der zugesicherten Preisbindung wird der Preis mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit angehoben, wobei oftmals immernoch der ursprünglich günstige Preis für Neukunden gilt. Das ist unverständlich, denn man sollte gerade treue Kunden belohnen, was aber bisher noch niemand macht. Und, im Vertrauen, was glauben Sie, wer den Wechselbonus bezahlt, wenn er denn ausgezahlt wird ? Richtig, Sie selbst, im ersten Jahr.
Wer Öko-Strom kauft, sollte sich darüber im Klaren sein, dass sein Beitrag nur marginal (also nebensächlich, geringfügig, unbedeutend) zur Schaffung erneuerbarer Energie beiträgt. Es ist mehr ein öffentliches Sinnesbekenntnis, denn für die Förderung erneuerbarer Energie bezahlt eh schon jeder mit der im Strompreis enthaltenen Stromsteuer.
Auch Charity mit Energievertrieb zu verbinden ist nichts weiter als ein Marketinginstrument des Stromanbieters, um Menschen glauben lassen zu wollen, das der Stromlieferant für den Kunden eine Spende tätigt. Logischerweise ist das aber nicht der Fall. Das gespendete Geld wird natürlich aus dem Kundenumsatz generiert und ist schon im Preis kalkuliert. Ok, die Logistik der Spendenabführung wird vom Lieferanten übernommen. Wem es also zuviel oder zu umständlich ist, jährlich Spenden an seinen Vorzugsverein zu überweisen, sollte dieses Angebot nutzen. Wahrscheinlich wäre aber bei einem anderen Stromanbieter noch mehr Sparpotential drin, so dass auch die selbstgetätigte Spende höher sein könnte.
Warum nicht mal ein handverlesenes Angebot erstellen lassen ? Ein Handelsvertreter, der auch Mehrfachvertreter ist, sollte in der Lage sein, das zu Ihnen passende Angebot heraus zu suchen. Dabei ist es nicht wirklich wichtig, für wieviel verschiedene Anbieter der Handelsvertreter vermitteln kann, sondern, dass er den Richtigen für Sie dabei hat. Wichtig wäre also, dass Sie ihm auch mitteilen, worauf es Ihnen ankommt.
